Travis Brown joined Student Health and Wellness in June 2024 and serves as the Assistant Director of Finance.

His background is marked by extensive expertise in large-scale financial reporting, budget management, forecasting, compliance, and implementing innovative processes. Travis has a proven track record of preparing and delivering financial reports to C-suite executives, emphasizing the importance of accurate and timely reporting. He has a history of optimizing processes to enhance efficiency, benefiting both the teams he leads and the organization as a whole.

Before UVA, Travis worked for Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) within the School of Medicine as the Clinical Trials Finance Manager overseeing over 400+ active clinical trials throughout the school, including 29 departments and numerous centers and institutes. Before VCU Travis worked for a large startup called Electrify America where he managed a large marketing budget along with working on a $44 million dollar campaign within the City of Sacramento to deploy electric carshare services, electric bus services, and extensive electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Travis collaborated closely with local, state, and federal stakeholders to successfully launch these services and spearheaded an innovative marketing campaign to promote them.

Travis earned his BBA in Marketing from Radford University in 2014.
